Sharon Green

CEO of VVFRC

Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Victor Valley Family Resource Center

Sharon Green is a dedicated community advocate, pastor, and non-profit leader who has spent over a decade empowering unhoused and at-risk individuals in California’s High Desert. A native of a challenging Los Angeles environment, Sharon draws upon her life experiences—including growing up in a gang-impacted neighborhood—to offer compassionate, firsthand understanding to those in need.

In 2009, she founded the Victor Valley Family Resource Center in Hesperia, CA, with a mission to uplift individuals transitioning from homelessness, incarceration, or crisis. Under her leadership, the organization provides comprehensive services including transitional housing, workforce readiness training, life skills development, substance abuse prevention, utility and food assistance, and reentry support for formerly incarcerated individuals.

Sharon's strategic and compassionate direction has translated into remarkable community impact. To date, the center has provided 12,500 nights of shelter, served 37,000 meals, and helped more than 100 adults successfully graduate from its programs through partnerships with more than a dozen local organizations.

A dynamic leader and spiritual guide, Sharon serves not only on the front lines of community support but also as Chairperson of the San Bernardino County Homeless Provider Network. Her outreach extends to partnerships with local social service agencies, enabling her organization to deliver mental health counseling, financial aid, and mobility support to clients—including creative adaptations during the pandemic such as online counseling and social media outreach.

Rooted in her faith, Sharon also serves as a Pentecostal pastor. Her upbringing—forged by hands-on lessons in compassion and service—has shaped her leadership philosophy: that loving, stable support transforms lives.
