My name is Christopher Beene and I am the Community Manager for JP Morgan Chase in the ever evolving city of Inglewood, California. Growing up the son of a single mother in Portland, Oregon the concept of financial literacy always felt less than attainable. As times changed however, so did I. I was mentored through the Urban League of Portland and pursued the reversal of the social nuisance which is financial unawareness at Robert Morris College. This led to my career at JPMC. My journey has been long and along the way I have gained professional skills which have proved pivotal for the advancement of my career; these include community engagement, diversity resource inclusion, and management. My proven success in the Inglewood sector includes home lending and small business development. I plan on furthering my impact throughout the community with my new position by providing financial literacy courses to the under served community of Inglewood starting on the local level. I am a servant leader and have been aligned with the city’s population in their financial journey for the past eleven years, managing community initiatives, and advocating for the less fortunate on the business level through ethics and unification.
